The Korean Gastric Cancer Association (KGCA) has been conducting a nationwide survey every 4 to 5 years since 1999 to investigate the status of gastric cancer surgery in Korea. Since the first report in 1999, there have been four reports until 2014. The latest report in 2014 included 69 institutions with data of 15613 gastric cancer patients. This extensive survey provides very useful information to understand the current status and chronological change of gastric cancer treatment in Korea.
